ABOUT

Welcome to The Inclusive Community. This is a publication from State of Inclusion to support and encourage those who are working to make their community more inclusive and equitable.

Our mission at State of Inclusion is to build a more inclusive world, one community at a time. While there are many things that can and should happen at a national or state level, we believe that real and lasting change happens at the individual and local community level. That is our focus.

Through this newsletter, we'll showcase stories of real progress being made in communities across the country. In addition, we'll share some of our perspectives and learnings, suggest books we've found helpful. Along the way, we hope to also hear from you, our subscriber.

Join with Others on the Same Journey

Sometimes it is enough to realize we are not alone on this journey and to have the opportunity to share and learn together.

If you find the content useful, we would ask you to join the conversation through comments and also to share this with others.

Credits

You'll mostly hear my voice on the podcast and see content authored by me, Ame Sanders, but it is not about me, nor is this all created by me.

First, I'd like to thank those who have been willing to share their wisdom and experiences as guests, authors, and commentors. They are the heart and inspiration of our work at State of Inclusion and The Inclusive Community.

I'd also like to thank my colleagues at State of Inclusion:

  • Emma Winiski, Thought Partner and Podcast Coordinator
  • Kayla Nelson, Marketing and Social Media Coordinator
  • FAROUT Media, Sound Engineering
