Juneteenth: Faith and Freedom

Promotional trailer image for the documentary Juneteenth: Faith and Freedom
I advocate celebrating freedom from the 19th of June to the 4th of July. - Ms. Opal Lee

As we prepare to celebrate Juneteenth next week on June 19th, I thought I'd share the link to this documentary with you all. It is clearly scripted from a Christian perspective, but regardless of your faith tradition (or lack of), it is thoughtfully and beautifully done. It is a great way to learn more about and reflect on the significance of the Juneteenth holiday.

When one becomes more free, we all become a little more free. - Dr. Carey Lattimore
